HYDRO BLOK 200 is an EOS System produced specifically
for sealing all types of CMU (concrete masonry units). This is
a user friendly system that will seal the most porous of all CMU
structures under the most difficult conditions and leave the wall
paint-able if desired. This is a 3 step system designed for new
or old CMU structures that guarantees you a dry wall.
APPLICATION
INSTRUCTIONS
The wall must be clean and free of all paint, coatings, sealers,
mold or algae. If the wall is a old damp wall it should be cleaned
with EOS All Purpose Efflorescence
Cleaner and brushed with a stiff bristle brush to remove all
old contaminates. Rinse clean and allow to semi dry. If the wall
has signs of white efflorescence apply a second application of
EOS All Purpose Efflorescence
Cleaner after the wall has been cleaned
and dry. Do not apply water to the wall after the
All
Purpose Eflorescence Cleaner has been applied, just allow it
to dry. All major cracks must be repaired at this time. Consult
your EOS representative for advice on making repairs, call 1-800-259-8855.
STEP 1
Spray apply
one wet application of HYDRO
BLOK 200 Pre-Sealer, HydraSeal to
secure the alkali within the CMU structure. Allow
HydraSeal to
cure for 48 hours and dry brush off any purged contaminates.
These dry contaminates can be vacuumed from the floor.
STEP 2
Mix the HYDRO
BLOK 200 Wall Coating with water as per
the instruction and trowel onto the wall forcing this resin
based bonding agent into the pores of the CMU. Just skim
coat the wall with a shallow notched trowel and then using
the smooth side of the trowel force the skim coat down
into the pores as a heavy build up is not necessary. Allow
wall to cure for 48 hours.
STEP 3
Spray apply
one wet application of HYDRO
BLOK 200 Wall Sealer NCS-2O
Negative. This sealer will penetrate the HYDRO
BLOK 200 Wall Coating and form an internal
membrane that will fuse into the Wall Coating / CMU structure
and will resist 18# of negative side pressures. It will leave
the wall dry, mildew proof and paint-able within 72 hours.
COVERAGE
The HYDRO
BLOK 200 Wall Kit will cover approximately
800 sq. feet of wall space, variable based on the different
porosity or condition of the existing CMU.
